Acer joins the handheld gaming PC market with the Nitro Blaze 7

After the Valve Steam Deck launched back in 2022, every other gaming PC manufacturer has had to play catch up. The market looks very different now with competitors like the Lenovo Legion Go and Asus ROG Ally, but one big player had been missing from the arena.

That's no longer the case as Acer has just announced their first handheld gaming PC called the Nitro Blaze 7.

This device will utilize the Ryzen 8845HS processor, contain a 7 inch, Full HD IPS LCD touchscreen that pushes 144 Hz, and house 16 GB of ram.

We don’t have pricing or availability yet, but from the renders and press images, the Nitro Blaze 7 seems compact and rather basic in appearance.

There are two USB4 Type-C ports on the black body with red accents made famous by the Nitro gaming line. The back of the body doesn’t have additional buttons, but the portable gaming PC does have a certain gaming vibe to it.

We’ll most likely have more information regarding the Nitro Blaze 7 in the coming months.
