The TicKasa ANC headphones are a pair of wireless active noise cancellation headphones packed with the features of high-end wireless noise cancelling competitors without the giant price tag.

This headset is equipped with Qualcomm’s QCC3031 chipset with the support of their aptX HD and AAC to enable a 24-bit encoding over Bluetooth to give you quality while still maintaining the wireless demand.  The headset supports Bluetooth 5.0 giving you a 50 ft range while also supplying you the option of plugging in with a 3.5mm jack, adapters to 40mm and an airline adapter. It also packs 5 microphones to help isolate your voice to create a cleaner audio experience for callers. The 800 mAh battery also lasts quite a long time where TicKasa confidently claims up to 30 hours of listening time. The battery life on this device lasts longer than the wear time I put in during an entire week.

Out of the Box

For the price of $130 USD, the build of these headphones are on par with the other wireless headphones out there.  The Bluetooth 5.0 makes it nice and fast to pair new devices to it regardless whether you’re looking to pair it with your smartphone or computer.  While the construction of the body is made of plastic, it does not feel cheap when in your hand. The head and ear cushions have a nice buttery leather feel to them. They’re definitely comfortable and light enough to wear for long periods of time. The noise cancelling feature works well as it isolates the sound well enough to tune out everything around you. This is a must for long flights. Having a physical button to turn on and off the active noise cancellation is a plus. On top of that, the headphones also come with a zippered case that makes it easy for on-the-go and travel.

Fit & Comfort

While it has all the features and build of Bose or AKG headphones, the issue I ran into is the size of these headphones.  While I don’t have a large head nor ears, I noticed that the sizing fit me exactly. For most people, I would assume their ears would run into the side walls of the ear cushion. For active noise cancelling headphones, most manufacturers have large ear cushions on the side of the head to accommodate for various ear sizes.  Although the top of the headphone can be adjusted to accommodate head size, the ear cushion might be an over the ear fit for some people while others might feel like an on the ear fit.

QUALITY SOUND

Sound quality is another highlight to this pair of headphones as it sounds almost as good as most other high-end noise cancelling headphones.  It has enough base to satisfy the beats for all your music while being crisp enough for all the podcast and audiobooks to never miss a word. There is definitely a quality behind the price point.

Worth Checking Out

In this day and age, wireless is a must. For a package that offers wireless and noise cancelling with long battery life that will have you forgetting to charge, all for the price point of $130, this could very well be the best bang for your buck over the ear headphone set I’ve heard to date.  If it can fit your noggin, it’s definitely worth checking out.
