Two-fold foldables are so old news in 2024.
That's why Huawei has debuted the world's first production triple-display foldable phone called the Mate XT Ultimate Design. If you think this thing is overkill, you're not wrong. But it's also something new in a field full of copycats.
The brand new form factor will likely be exclusive to China for now, but Huawei has skirted around USA bans to create the unique Mate XT.
While we don’t have all the details yet, but we do know that 16 GB of RAM will be standard across all Mate XTs. They’ll also start with 256 GB of storage, a 5,600 mAh battery, and the starting price will be an astounding 19,999 yuan which equates to nearly $2,900 USD.
What you do receive from paying that much is a one of a kind accordion style OLED display that opens up three 6.4 inch single screens into a combined 10.2 inch display. If you want to go back down to a two-fold foldable, the Mate XT can also do that as it can be opened up to a 7.9 inch setup too.
Release details will likely be released in the coming months.
