Motorola Announces Edge 2024 refresh

The Motorola Edge line has remained largely the same over the last few years. It’s a pseudo-flagship level phone from a legacy cellphone maker that doesn’t really distinguish itself on the market.

That won't really change much in 2024 as Motorola just announced the refresh of the Edge and it's quite similar to previous iterations.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, Android 14 out of the box, a 5000 mAh battery, 15W wireless charging, and a 6.6” pOLED display that refreshes at up to 144 Hz, the spec sheet is decently filled.

For a starting price of $549.99, Motorola will continue it’s attack on the mid-range market through retailers like Amazon and Best Buy where Moto phones have been a staple.

The curved edges of the Edge phones will continue on the 2024 model, but Motorola has added a vegan leather back to compliment the display in an attempt to broaden the premium side of smartphone features. With a 50 MP primary camera next to a 13 MP ultra-wide sensor, Motorola hopes to make continued gains in improving their camera quality. There’s also a 32 MP front camera cutout on the front display.

The Edge 2024 will go on sale starting June 20, 2024.
