Samsung unpacks Galaxy S25 series

Not much was not known about the new Samsung Galaxy flagship phones going into the Unpacked 2025 event. Samsung’s Galaxy S25 refresh will come in the same three forms that the Korean phone maker has settled into in recent years: the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.

All three devices look largely the same in design and feel when compared to their previous counterparts.

With a yearly processor bump to the now flagship level Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU, this year’s Galaxy phones will push heavily on on-device AI features. Samsung wants users to use AI to work through their daily flow on their phone and not just for answering questions or photo editing.

All three devices will ship with Android 15 skinned with One UI7 and offer 7 years of software updates. The Galaxy S25 starts at $799, the S25+ at $999, and the S25 Ultra at $1300. The spec bumps are as you would expect for the display and camera layouts. The bigger the phone size, the slightly more improved specs the phone receives. Once again the S25 Ultra is the only one of the three phones to have native S Pen support.

Another year goes by and no one would blame you if you couldn’t tell the difference between your old Galaxy and the new one.
